Two pregnancies and years of sit-ups, convinced I was the one doing something wrong. Nobody had ever said the word diastasis to me. It wasn't fat — the muscles had come apart.

On in seconds. Forgotten all day.

Pulling on the beige shaping brief over a postpartum tummy

Smooth the second it's on

No waiting and no squeezing. The crossed band holds the moment you pull it up.

Pulling on the fuchsia shaping brief and standing upright

Then you forget it's there

Soft, breathable, and it never rolls down. Put it on in the morning and stop thinking about it.

Two crossed bands. Three zones. No crushing.

The X flattens

Two bands cross over the lower tummy and hold it by triangulation, like two hands resting gently.

Three zones, spread out

The tension spreads across three zones instead of one elastic: firm on the tummy, soft on the skin.

And you can breathe

No single point of pressure: no folds, no marks, no shortness of breath. All day.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know before ordering. If something's missing, email usat hello@saymika.com.

Is it a mum tum, or is it something else? +

Usually something else, and it has a name: diastasis, or tummy separation.

Here's the test. Lie down, press two fingers just above your navel, lift your head. If they sink into a soft dip, that's a gap between the two halves of your abdominal wall. It opened to make room for the baby and never closed.

That's why it doesn't shift with sit-ups. You can't exercise a gap shut.

My youngest is ten. Have I left it too late? +

No — and the reason matters more than the answer.

A separated abdominal wall doesn't knit back together on its own. If nothing has held it closed in ten years, then ten years of nothing is exactly what you'd expect to see. That's not you having failed. That's nobody ever having tried.

The wall doesn't know what year it is. Women wear this three weeks after giving birth and thirty years after.

I'm a size 10. Is this for bigger women? +

No, and this is the part that puts people off ordering.

A gap in the abdominal wall has nothing to do with your weight. Plenty of women who are slim everywhere else still have a lower tummy that pushes forward — same cause, same fix.

S fits a 28-inch waist. Please don't rule yourself out because of a label in your jeans.

Is this another one that rolls down by lunchtime? +

That's the honest reason most women give up on shapewear, and it's a design problem, not a fabric one.

A front-only shaper puts all its tension in one place. The fabric has nowhere to go but down. This one holds the whole circle — front, hips, back — so no single point is doing the work.

It's still there at six in the evening.

Can anyone tell I'm wearing it? +

No. It's seamless, so nothing prints through, and the leg openings lie flat instead of biting in and leaving a line.

Under jeans and jumpers, obviously. Under a fitted dress too.

Does anything last once I take it off? +

Straight away it holds and smooths, from the moment you put it on.

Worn regularly, it does more than that: it guides the muscles back towards where they belong, day after day. Most women notice the difference holding over about six weeks. It works all the way around, not just at the front.

Can I sleep in it? +

You can. You don't need to.

It's built for the day, and your body does better with a few hours off. If it ever feels tight rather than held, take it off — that's the only thing worth paying attention to.

How do I return it or exchange it? +

Email hello@saymika.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll sort it out.

If you'd like a different size, tell us which one in the same email — you don'tneed to send the first one back before we look after it. If you'd rather haveyour money back, just say so. No form to fill in, no reason to give, and itdoesn't need to be in the original packaging.
